How do Thermal Studs compare?
A thermal bridge is the part of the wall that allows thermal conduction, the transmission of temperature, from one space to another. Thermal Studs provide a gap in the wall to diminish that thermal transfer. By eliminating the thermal bridge in your wall, you’re allowing the space inside your home to be virtually unaffected by the temperature outside. Thus allowing your HVAC system and other appliances to run less which lowers your BTU consumption and carbon footprint.
